• The Mürren Via Ferrata is a one-of-a-kind adventure situated directly below the charming mountain village of Mürren. This guided experience combines elements of hiking and climbing, allowing participants to traverse along secured pathways with the assistance of cables, ladders, and bridges.
• Your journey begins at Stäger Sport in Mürren, where you'll meet your professional mountain guide and receive all necessary technical equipment. After a comprehensive safety briefing and instructions on equipment usage, the adventure commences.
• The initial segment of the route is relatively straightforward, providing an opportunity to acclimate to the equipment and terrain. As you progress, you'll encounter the "Hammerecke" (Hammer Corner), a section that offers exhilarating exposure with significant air beneath your feet.
• Continuing along the path, you'll pass by a base jumping platform before reaching an exciting zipline (also known as a flying fox or Tyrolean traverse), allowing you to glide across a chasm with ease. The grand finale of the via ferrata features an airy suspension bridge spanning the Mürrenbach gorge, presenting a 400-meter drop below—a true test of courage and a highlight of the journey.
• Upon completing the route, you'll arrive in the quaint village of Gimmelwald. From here, a cable car ride offers two options: ascend back to Mürren or descend to Stechelberg, each providing a relaxing conclusion to your adventure.
